all peoples church san diego
After serving for 10 years as college pastors at Antioch Community Church ministering students at Baylor University in Texas,
Robert & Stefanie Herber felt God"s leading to start a new church in San Diego, California.
After building a church planting team of several other couples and some singles, they launched out in the spring of 2008 to plant a multi-ethnic,
socio-economically diverse church in the heart of San Diego.
Starting with one small group in the College Area,
the church has now grown to several small groups serving people from different ages and backgrounds.
The church gathers corporately on Sunday mornings at Horace Mann Middle
School

All Peoples Church is looking forward to the day when there are small groups spread throughout
the city to reach the many diverse groups of people who call San Diego home.

Loving God
We are a community of people who have been touched and changed by the love of God. In return for his kindness to us, our greatest goal is to love Him. When Jesus was asked what the greatest commandment was He said, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength." (Mark 12:30). Loving God is our highest goal.
Loving All People
The Bible says that "God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16). Jesus came for every person living on the earth. We want everyone to know that no matter what family they were born into, what country they are from, what religion they grew up in, whether they are rich or poor, and no matter what they have done in their past, they are loved and wanted by God. Jesus said, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners" (Mark 2:17). Therefore we are trying very hard to make All Peoples Church a place where people feel that they can come as they are. We want it to be a safe place for people to be real with who they are and where they are. Everyone is in a different place in their journey with God, and we welcome everyone from skeptics, to seekers, to people who have spent their whole life in a church.
Sharing His Love
Jesus told his followers, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation." (Mark 16:15) We believe that we have good news to share with everyone we meet: that they can know God personally and that they can have a life giving and fulfilling relationship with Him. Because of this, we joyfully proclaim who God is, what He has done, and his great plan to every person. As we look at the life of Jesus, we see that He didn’t just share God’s love verbally but he also demonstrated it through His actions. Therefore, we also seek to share God’s love through praying for people in need and meeting the physical needs of the poor and hurting.
